150 Years of Fashion with Ivan Sayers

In celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday, join Fashion Historian, Ivan Sayers, for a slide show presentation showcasing the choices fashionistas made in days gone-by, to today’s globally-inspired fabrics and styles. 1 session $10

Join well-known lacemaker Lenka Suchanek for a talk and slide show highlighting lacemaking with gold and silver and its potential for contemporary art and design. 1 session $10

Got a new baby in your life? Learn to crochet as you make a beanie to give at the next baby shower, or a granny square to start an afghan or baby blanket. 4 sessions $65.25.

Batik Cloth – Level 1
Instructor Liza Wajong shares the secrets of traditional Indonesian batik as you make a colourful wall hanging using wax resist and dyes. Supply fee $10. 2 sessions $47.25.

Museum After Dark: Surrey Speakeasy (19yrs+)
Whether bootlegger, flapper or shady character, you’ll need a password to enter this speakeasy. Whiskey tasting, behind-the-scenes exploration of 1920s artifacts, and smoky live blues await behind the museum’s closed doors. 1 session $18.

Pine Needle Basket Workshop
