It's the second week of the 20th Annual Environmental Extravaganza! Come join us as we explore and learn about nature in Surrey - there's something for everyone.

The complete Extravaganza Event Guide is available for download now. In April, pick up a hardcopy at the Surrey Nature Centre, your local Surrey Library or Recreation Centre, or any Extravaganza event.

Please note: event hosts reserve the right to limit group registration sizes.

Shorekeepers Training Workshop
Join us for a workshop about marine habitats and citizen science! A short classroom introduction will be followed by a beach outing for skills training for surveys in June and July. Refreshments provided in the morning. Bring lunch, water, and a hat. Rain or shine - dress for the weather! Ages 14+, pre-registration required; e-mail mshiker4@gmail.com.

Darts Hill Open House and Plant Sale
Wander among the mature trees and flowering shrubs of this 7.5 acre plantsman’s garden and check out our children’s plant hunt, plant sale, or a guided walk (leaves at 11:30am from the meet and greet area). Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions.

Come out for a tour celebrating the beauty and usefulness of native plants, including how to use them in your garden. Meet a representative of the Native Plant Society who will guide you on this two garden tour. Refreshments will be served. Rain or shine - dress for the weather!
