About Panorama Park
Panorama Park is a new neighbourhood park located in the west Newton neighbourhood. The park has an area of about 2.4 hectares (5.8 acres), and features a playground, kids BMX pump track and lots of open lawn area for picnicking. There is also a fenced in dog off-leash area in the park to run rover.
The park was officially opened on June 24th, 2014. The planning and design process included an Environmental Assessment and public consultation process. An open house was held in March, 2013, to gather comments and feedback on the potential amenities. This process guided the development of the park concept plan, which was widely supported by the public.
Panorama Dog Off-Leash Area
The Panorama Dog Off-leash area is located in the south portion of the park, adjacent to 60 Avenue. It is fully fenced in, and takes up about 0.25 hectares (one acre) of the park, so it is on the small side when compared to our other dog off-leash areas. You'll find the terrain is predominantly grass, with a looping gravel pathway around a central field. Make note that this is a neighbourhood park, so there is no parking lot provided.
