Salmon Tracks - Storm Drain Marking

storm drain marking kit

Ever seen a yellow fish painted on the road?  That's Salmon Tracking! Every drain painted makes a difference and gets the message out that anything that goes into a roadside drain flows directly into a creek where fish live.

The program evolved from the Fisheries and Oceans Canada storm drain marking program to engage the community in learning about salmon habitat and finding ways to maintain our streams' water quality. It's a fun and simple way to make your lasting mark in the City.

We can give you everything you, your family, or your group needs to mark drains in your neighbourhood.  We are also here to help with any questions you have about the activity or if you want maps to show you where all the roadside drains are in your area.

Contact us at or call 604-591-4321 to sign up for a kit.  Also join us in the Storm Drain Marking Challenge this spring! Mark drains and get chances to win prizes! That's a win for you and the environment.
