Light Rail Transit

The Mayors’ Council 10-year Vision for Transit and Transportation identifies light rail as the best rapid transit to grow the region’s South of Fraser Rapid Transit Network.

The South of Fraser Rapid Transit Network is a two-phased project that will see 27-km of high-quality, street-level light rail transit transform Surrey into connected, complete and liveable communities.

In 2016, the Mayors' Council and the TransLink Board of Directors approved implementation of Phase 1 of the 10-Year Investment Plan, which means continued planning, early works and public engagement on the Surrey-Newton-Guildford LRT Line by TransLink and City of Surrey. Find out more.
