Finance and Information Technology (IT)
Help us serve Surrey's residents in the most efficient way possible. This department's scope is large, and includes numerous roles, including accounting, purchasing and finance. In Finance and IT, you'll work with

- security, business processes and technology.
Firefighters and Fire Management
Protect the lives and property of Surrey citizens as a Volunteer or Career Firefighter. This team specializes in

- behind-the-scenes inspections.
Inspectors and By-law Officers
Maintain municipal and provincial bylaws, regulations and legislation. Inspectors and by-law officers also conduct investigations and provide security and education to the community.
Labourers and Equipment Operators
Work in either Engineering or Park Operations to beautify and develop the city by maintaining streets, utilities, parks, park facilities and roadways.

Types of Employment
Regular: Full-time or part-time positions with a benefits package.
Auxiliary: Employment on an on-call basis. It can mean a fairly set work schedule. Varied hours, no guarantee of hours.
Temporary: Shorter term, full-time positions of no more than 6 months in duration.
