January 24, 2013 - The City of Surrey is joining municipalities across Canada in the #CutMyCommute campaign to push for new funding for transportation projects in order to reduce traffic gridlock, which is costing the Canadian economy more than $10 billion a year.
December 18, 2012 - Over the past four weeks close to 12,000 vehicles in Surrey have been audited in an effort to try and prevent thieves from targeting vehicles this holiday season.
December 11, 2012 - The City of Surrey wants to ban smoking at the Surrey Memorial Hospital and the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre. Council approved a bylaw amendment at last night’s meeting which would prohibit smoking on these properties, including open areas and parking lots that are more than 7.5 metres away from a building.
December 07, 2012 - Surrey technology entrepreneurs now have access to new resources to help their company grow and thrive. The City has partnered with the BC Technology Industry Association and SFU Surrey to launch a Centre4Growth acceleration program, which provides entrepreneurs with access to seasoned coaches, resources, workshops, business clinics, and more.
