The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment for organic waste cart washing services.

In July 2015, the City will be expanding the Rethink Waste Program (organics collection) to include apartment MURB's and condominiums.  The organic waste collection services will be offered to MURB's on an optional basis.

There are 415 MURB's across the City that collectively includes over 32,000 dwelling units.  Some of these MURB's have multiple buildings on the property which will translate to 514 centralized organics collection and cart washing locations.

Specifications of Cart Washing and Cleaning
Work shall include, but not limited to, the washing and cleaning services to centralized organic carts at MURB's that are participating in the City's organics collection service.  Services shall include pressure washing, sanitizing and deodorizing each waste cart.  Contractor shall be capable of washing and cleaning 80 litre, 120 litre, 180 litre, 240 litre and 360 litre waste carts.  The Contractor shall clean and wash waste carts in an environmentally friendly manner.  Washing and cleaning in an open environment (i.e. roads, sidewalks and private property) will not be permitted.

Addenda
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City's Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca (the "BC Bid Website") and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the "City Website") that will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractor to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
